New version of Touch Calendar just released:

• adds an option to remove the settings icon from the widget
• adds ‘Zoom to date’ to the context menu (tap-and-hold on a date)

Note: Version 1.0.4 fixed a minor bug to do with new event times that was introduced in 1.0.3

This new version adds a settings screen with several options to the widget:

• set how many weeks are displayed
• set how far in the past the widget starts displaying (how many “past weeks”)
• set the starting day
• set the font size

Also added two new colour schemes: “orange and white” and “orange and blue”.

Also, an ‘Add event’ option has been added to the main app menu. This is in addition to the usual way of adding an event, by tap-and-hold on a date.

Finally a small bug where the ‘@’ symbol could appear on its own when ‘Show location’ was turned on has been fixed.

A fairly big update this time, with a new default colour scheme for the app.  Don’t worry if you preferred the old colours though – you can set the colour scheme in the settings.  There’s also a third ‘Monochrome’ scheme as well.

The changes in full:

• Default colour scheme changed and colour scheme options added
• Dark border between months
• Default reminder setting
• Repetition descriptions changed to be clearer
• Fix for some events being deletable but not editable

• Fix for issue introduced in 0.9.9 where opening events from within the app would have a Touch Calendar option in the menu that would appear to do nothing

• Search settings have been added.  You can now configure how far in the past the search looks, how far in the future, how many results are returned, and whether or not the location field is searched

• A ‘show week numbers’ option has been added

• KNOWN ISSUE: When tapping events in the app, a menu will now appear with an option to open the event in Touch Calendar but this will not work.

• New ‘Default zoom level’ option in Settings – from fully zoomed out to very zoomed in.
• Possible fix for invisible event issue
• Fix for some force close issues

• event end times can now be displayed if turned on in Settings
• some force close issues fixed
• fix for bug where days would become elongated in the calendar grid over time

• Font size settings – from Large to Very Small
• Auto-adjust font size – shrinks the font when you zoom out
• Fix for bug where zooming out at min-zoom would scroll upwards
• Added a link to the User Group from the instructions page

• You can now choose which calendars are displayed in Settings.
